Under the slogan (Government Contracts and Governance), February 4-6, 2024, Kuwait

In light of what countries in the region are witnessing with the amendment and development of their legal and financial legislation and their sustainability, one of the most important topics related to this legislation is government contracts and the governance of these contracts in light of the continuous development of such topics, since government contracts are among the most important elements that contribute to development, especially in light of the interest of the State of Kuwait. The Gulf Cooperation Council countries are able to provide, create and develop infrastructure projects, services and public facilities, and the steady development of private sector participation to achieve sustainable development. There was an urgent need for a disciplined contractual formulation to govern contracts concluded by government and private agencies, and to use unified contractual models that gain the confidence of investors and the private sector on the one hand. Hence the importance of using contract models in government contracts, including what is also known as FIDIC contracts, as well as developing innovation tools and modern technologies, and creating electronic tools and systems that contribute to enhancing access to financial and other services in the institution.
We are in the process of organizing the third session of the Gulf Conference for Sustainable Legal and Financial Legislation under the slogan (Government of Government Contracts and Contracts), with the cooperation and participation of a number of Kuwaiti and Gulf authorities.
